Jim Minton
Jim Minton, a Decatur native, graduated from MacArthur High School and Millikin University. In 2018, he was inducted into the Decatur Public Schools Athletic Hall of Fame. Jim played for the Decatur Pride fastpitch softball team, winning national championships in 1994 and 1995. He has over twenty-five years of financial planning experience, including teaching the Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement course through Richland Community College's Lifelong Learning Division.
Jim and his wife Suzanne have been married for thirty-five years. He has three children, J. J. (Ashley), Kurtis (Quincie) and Emily, and two grandchildren, Noah and Eli.
Now that the softball days are done, Jim's new hobby is golf, and he also authored a book on Christian character development, Just Call Me Dad
